"Into the Light" - Bald Eagle - 48 X 36

This painting was inspired by some beautiful sunsets I saw recently after storms. The rays of sunlight shining through beautiful cloud formations, backlit the eagles that are always near where I live. I want to paint something that shows this scene from a bird's eye view, as if the viewer were flying along with the other eagle.

This painting is for sale and on display at the Marshfield Clinic - Weston Center on the second floor, along with many other WVAG member's artwork.

"On the Edge" - Cougar - 24 X 36
This painting of a Cougar was inspired by a recent walk that revealed soil that eroded from under a white pine. The roots were exposed in the early morning light, leaving the surrounding area in the shadows. It always amazes me just how well animals are camouflaged, and the Cougar is no exception. In person it takes a while for the viewer to see the Cougar even though it is quite large in the painting. w,

This painting is for sale and on display at the Center for the Visual Arts in the Loft Gallery, along with many other WVAG member's artwork.
There will be a grand opening reception on Friday, June 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in conjunction with Wausau's Exhibitour night.
